I'm Ashley — a watercolorist and pencil artist working out of a small studio with very good light. I started painting because I wanted something soft on the wall above my daughter's crib, and I couldn't find anything that felt right. So I made it. And then I made another. And then a friend asked if I'd make one for hers.
Most of what I paint is small and quiet. A wren on a rosemary branch. A fox curled up like a comma. The way light folds over a mountain just before sunrise. The kind of pieces that sit gently in a room and earn their place over years.
Every original is painted by hand on cotton paper, with archival pigments meant to hold their color for a century. Every print is a giclée reproduction on cotton rag, signed in pencil. And every piece — original or print — arrives wrapped carefully, with a handwritten note from me.
If you're decorating a nursery, a child's room, a quiet office, or a corner of your home that feels a little flat — I hope something here finds its way to your wall.
